English B’Yachad is the flagship program of Skilled Volunteers for Israel. Our volunteers, mostly retired Jewish professionals, provide online English language tutoring to young adults from underserved communities in Israel. The goal—to enhance their English fluency so these students can compete on a level playing field for higher-level opportunities in the Israeli labor market.

In weekly individualized online sessions, you’ll serve as a conversation partner and a lesson instructor. Together, explore subjects of interest as you build student confidence and fluency. As a coach and mentor, you’ll discover your support is transformative—empowering your student to speak confidently in career scenarios such as job interviews, presentations, meetings, and office conversations.
